Applications - Field and Range

Clenzoil has long been a national favorite among competitive shooters, collectors and gunsmiths for 62+ years and counting. Clenzoil’s unique product formulation allows for it to be used over a very wide range of both exotic metals and materials as well as natural materials such as wood, leather, bone, horn and laminates just to name a few. Clenzoil is also well known for its deeper cleaning and penetration qualities over most other products.

Clenzoil provides longer lasting lubrication, rust protection and storage opportunities as weapons treated with Clenzoil may be stored for years, remaining lubricated and rust-free even in high humidity environments. Armory-stored guns, even after 15+ years, are field-ready in minutes with no additional clean up - simply load and shoot.

Unlike many other gun products, Clenzoil Field & Range™ may safely be used on products made of multiple materials or surface types without issue as well as on leather slings, holsters and scabbards as it will never cause fine leather to dry or crack and will nourish and moisturize leather preventing dry-out, rot and mildew. It is also a fabulous treatment for wood and enhances and nourishes the wood without removing or damaging its finish, regardless of age.

Additionally, as Clenzoil products contain NO water or “aqueous-based” components, it is simply a far superior product to those that do as the absence of water or water-based components means that Clenzoil has a far greater operational temperature range and remains a generally more powerful cleaning agent.

Directions For Use:

If you are using a bottle of the "Field & Range," shake well before using. Apply a liberal coating to all surfaces of your firearm, both inside and out. Pass a saturated patch through the bore of the firearm and allow 2-5 minutes for Clenzoil to breakdown contaminants. Use bore brush of appropriate caliber as necessary; follow up with clean patches. Repeat as necessary. Apply Clenzoil to the action/lock works of the firearm, including the bolt, fire control system, action, etc. Apply Clenzoil "Field & Range," with a lamb's wool applicator or soft cloth to metal, wood and leather surfaces.

To "winterize" your firearm for cold weather use in damp, extremely cold environments, reapply Clenzoil "Field & Range," both inside and out, 2-3 hours after the initial applications have been applied. Take along the Clenzoil "One-Step-Solution," Field & Range patch kit, to apply while in the field or camp.

The Clenzoil "One-Step-Solution," Field & Range Patch Kit is an excellent companion to take with you into harsh environments. They can be used to clean the bore, clean the internal action of the firearm and you can wipe down the outside of the firearm in the field to augment the "winterization" of your weapon. Within 5-10 minutes after application, Clenzoil will be odorless and will not affect your hunting.

Cleaning Tip: Clenzoil R&D Staff recommends for heavily fouled barrels or during an initial (first time) cleaning, to leave Clenzoil in the bore for as long as possible. Some bench rest shooters tell us they will sometimes leave Clenzoil in the bore of their rifles overnight to get the maximum effort out of it! They will also soak bolts, and/or fire control systems in Clenzoil.

Cleaning Tip: Clenzoil R&D Staff have found that the more Clenzoil is used on a firearm, the easier it becomes to keep the firearm clean as Clenzoil will actually condition the metal surfaces over time with repeated use, also making it easier to clean as well.

Home Test: Clenzoil R&D Staff says,"....if you really want to be amazed by Clenzoil, take your cleanest firearm, you know, the one you believe is spotless; and then clean it again with Clenzoil and be amazed at what Clenzoil additionally removes that was left behind by your previous cleaning product!"
