Technical Data - Machine and Tool

By definition, Clenzoil solution is a metal cleaner, lubricant, protector/rust-inhibitor that may be applied to any metallurgical surface that responds to lubrication and rust-protection. In short, Clenzoil is a hybrid “CLP” product, a cleaner-lubricant-protector, containing both petroleum distillates and synthetic components with a broad range of uses and applications showing a highly diverse and impressive tolerance range that once applied to any surface, will absorb several microns deep into the surface to provide a lubrication base that has substantial “carrying” capacity – while at the same time providing an oxidation (protection) barrier that will greatly diminish the likelihood of metallurgical surface rust and breakdown, even in highly humid environments. The environmental performance standards that Clenzoil will function in and under are quite varied and quite unique to our product. Clenzoil will function in a variety of fluctuating temperatures with a wide range of use spanning from -54°F (-12.2°C) (with sub-peaks to -65°F (18.3°C) just as it will function in temperatures above +350°F (+176°C) (with peaks over +400°F (+204.4°C) – all while providing no determined breakdown or limitation of use at extremes. Clenzoil also functions equally well in both fresh and saltwater exposure while not becoming gummy or snotty and at the same time avoiding spoilage in either of these harsh wet environments.

Clenzoil’s unique attributes, its broad based applications and the fact that Clenzoil does several things well allow for a single product and application to do many things therefore eliminating the use, need, and most importantly the cost for several other products (costs in both actual dollars and the time required to apply them).

Below you will find technical specifications resulting from independent laboratory analysis of the Clenzoil “Machine & Tool” solution product. Periodically over the last several decades, many of these tests have been run to ensure consistent quality control standards during manufacturing.

As Clenzoil has been manufactured for over six decades, it is logical to assume that multiple laboratories have been used over the years to provide controlled environmental analysis of the Clenzoil product line. However and having stated that, to the best of Clenzoil Worldwide management knowledge, in all tests and evaluations performed, both nationally and internationally recognized chemical testing standards, such as ASTM (American Society of Tests and Measurement) were strictly adhered to.

While these published laboratory results are considered to be specific in nature, they should not be considered all encompassing regarding their application to non-laboratory controlled environments as in many instances, the actual “real world” field application of the Clenzoil “Machine & Tool” products may, and often do, exceed performance demonstrated in the controlled environment (laboratory) tests.

Safety Information:

Even though Clenzoil “Machine & Tool” is a “hybrid-type” lubricant, it does contain some petroleum distillates, so it must carry the package warning label: “Contains petroleum distillates, harmful or fatal if swallowed. If swallowed, call a physician immediately. Avoid contact with eyes, prolonged contact with skin and prolonged breathing of vapors. In case of eye contact, flush eyes thoroughly with water. Use in a well ventilated area. Never store any petroleum distillate products with food. Keep out of reach of children.”

Contains NO freon propellants or butane/propane propellants. Contains NO varnish, lacquer or similar components. Contains NO Teflon or Silicon based products resulting in extremely low “pour point” and enhanced operating temperature range.

Fire Fighting:

Use foam, CO2 or dry chemical extinguisher. Cool with water spray.
