For the 5th year in a row, the Hillsborough County Sherriff’s Office and Black Dagger Military Hunt Club have teamed up to host the 2016 Military Heroes Top Shot Competition held at the Walter C. Heinrich Training Facility Shooting Range in Lithia, Florida on Saturday November 19, 2016 at 9:00 am. This range is one of the top facilities in the Southeast, drawing dozens of law enforcement agencies to take advantage of its state-of-the-art firearms range, driving, and scenario-based training.
This incredible event allows military veterans to compete in a one-of-a-kind shooting competition, inspired by the shooting competitions featured in the Top Shot® television series on HISTORY® network, highlighting and honoring their service. Twenty veteran competitors will be drawn from the James A. Haley Veteran Affairs (VA) Hospital and the United States Special Operations Command Care Coalition. Using specialized equipment and aided by a qualified range safety team, competitors will be enabled by adaptive equipment to compete in several unique shooting competitions. The focus of event is to highlight abilities of wounded/disabled veterans and their continued drive and desire to compete.
“We are proud to be a Silver Sponsor for the 5th Annual Military Heroes Top Shot Competition,” said Clenzoil President, Chris Hoffman. “Dave Winters and the other volunteers at Black Dagger Military Hunt Club do an incredible job of putting on exceptional events for our veterans in our local community and for this particular event, across the country. Our team cannot wait to be out there on Saturday, supporting them in this event and being a part of what I am sure will be an unbelievable experience for everyone involved.”
Follow Black Dagger Military Hunt Club on social media to tune in to the Google Live and Facebook Live broadcasting of the event and catch the action. During the event, the competitors and their assistants will be interviewed by the event organizers and local news media. As a special added bonus, several competitors from the popular Top Shot® series on HISTORY® will also be present. They have expressed their desire to stand with and support our Military Heroes!
In addition to the positive message and educating opportunity, all funds raised for the event, minus expenses, will benefit the HCSO Charities and Black Dagger Military Hunt Club Inc., both federal 501(c)3 nonprofits. The event will be covered by local Tampa Bay Florida newspaper and television channels and the focus of all media will be positive, uplifting, and honoring our veterans.
